"Several years ago I decided to give Yoga a try after suffering from some chronic health concerns. I tried many different local studios with many different approaches all looking to turn me into a Yogi. I felt overwhelmed and defeated as I was no where near par with this Yogi community I found myself in. As a last chance effort, I decided to try a beginner's class at my local recreation center.

Soon after I was on the floor in a dead bug position while a soothing voice floated around me; I was beaming with sweat and glee. Nancy has lead me gently into the world of Yoga as a practical tool for dealing with life, while helping address my health concerns. She is mindful of the various levels of Yoga we find ourselves in and I've happily been able to bring my 12 year-old cousin along with my 65 year-old grandmother. It is an inescapable fact of life that with age comes the inevitable litany of aches and pains. It is the ability to cope with the assorted ailments that is going to go a long way in determining quality of life as we get older. Now entering my ninth decade of life I have found Yoga to be an indispensable method of pain management.

I have been taking Yoga classes with Nancy for at least five or six years. It's been a big help in controlling my back, shoulder, and knee problems; especially my lower back pain which has all but disappeared. And it's been a lot of fun, not something usually associated with doing Yoga. The other thing that differentiates her classes is the ability to recognize the special problems that come with working with senior citizens. She'll provide alternative positions tailored to your needs and ability and help you to slowly progress in your Yoga practice.

In addition, Nancy and her daughter Erin have collaborated on producing a video DVD which I have found to be a big help when I have been unable to attend classes. It's an excellent production which enables you to have a short Yoga break anytime and is divided to allow you to focus on your particular needs.

Thank you Nancy, and thank you Erin, for keeping me healthy, happy and pain free up until now. Keep up the good work as I make my way through these octogenarian years!!
